Hi everybody, I have bought a BB Torch 9800 on retail and updated it using the Blackberry Desktop Software. My OS version is now build 2949 no further updates available. The version of App World I start with is I tried to launch App World but it says I need to upgrade it so that I can use it. I won't expand here since it is a problem commonly known on this forum, at least prior 2017. See for example this which covers the whole issue So, here what's I tried so far -Download an offline installer following this thread The link seems dead -Download a .JAD and .COD companion installer from here then use BBSAK to install it. The installation goes well but I lost the App World icon. -A workaround for this problem is to download an older instead, but after hours of searching on the web, all dowload links I found are now dead. In fact most of them redirect to which seems to be closed because it displays a kind of logging page with Chinese characters... Others just display an error 404 or something like that. -A link which was promising was offered by a russian website but it only features the but with no .cod files. I tried to install it anyway using BBSAK but it does not work as I surmised. I hope some of these had worked some days, but we are now in 2020 so web rotting does not help... Would you know a place when I can get a working version of World App? Or maybe you could PM me if you own a working version yet not shared. Hope I was clear, thanks a lot for your help! 04-19-20 1044 AM
